Account

I didn't get my verification email

Check your spam folder. The email is sent from support@nordcal.se. If it's not there, request a new code from the app — old codes expire after 10 minutes.

I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password?" — we'll email you a reset link.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app → Profile → scroll to the bottom → "Delete Account". This permanently erases all your data within 30 days. There's no undo.

Can I change my email?

Not yet from inside the app. Email support@nordcal.se from your current address with the new one and we'll switch it for you.

Tracking

The AI got my meal wrong

Tap the meal entry to edit it — change the food, portion, or remove items. The AI is good for quick logs but isn't perfect. For unusual or homemade dishes, the search and barcode tools are more accurate.

My step count is 0

You need to grant motion-data permission. iOS: Settings → NordCalAI → enable Motion & Fitness. Android: Settings → Apps → NordCalAI → Permissions → Physical Activity.

Calorie target seems wrong

Your daily calorie target is calculated from weight, height, age, sex, and activity level using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, then adjusted for your weight-loss tempo. Tweak any of those in Profile → Personal Details. You can also set a fully custom target from Profile → Nutrition Goals.

Reminders aren't firing

Make sure notifications are enabled at the OS level (iOS: Settings → NordCalAI → Notifications). Inside the app, turn the toggle on for each meal you want to be reminded about under Profile → Tracking Reminders.

Subscription

How do I cancel my subscription?

Apple manages all subscriptions. iOS: open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → NordCalAI → Cancel. Cancellation stops the next renewal but keeps Premium active until the end of the current billing period.

I want a refund

Refunds for App Store subscriptions are issued by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, find the NordCalAI charge, and request a refund. We can't process refunds directly because we never see your payment.

I bought a subscription on one device but it doesn't show on another

Make sure both devices are signed into the same Apple ID. Then in NordCalAI: open the paywall → tap "Restore purchases".

Privacy & data

What data do you collect?

See the full Privacy Policy. Short version: email, profile data you enter, meals/water/weight/steps you log. No location. No advertising trackers. We never sell data.

Can I export my data?

Yes — email support@nordcal.se from the address tied to your account and we'll send you a JSON export within a week. (We're working on adding this directly to the app.)

Are my meal photos shared with anyone?

Photos are sent to a third-party AI model for food identification, then discarded by the provider. They are never used to train models. Photos you keep linked to a meal are stored encrypted on EU-based cloud infrastructure. Delete the meal and the photo goes with it.
